Sorry for the rather stupid question.

1. If I installed the Xantech emitter, what is the point to use a video/power sensors.

2. Is the IR emitter just some kind of cable, or does it require power?

3. In what ways will a RS232 interface better than an IR emitter? Is it just a better look?

4. Is the IR emitter compatible to most equipment?

I plan to buy the following for my new HT:

Proceed AVP + AMP 3 power amp
Pioneer S10A DVD + Faroudja 2200P Processor
Lutron Graphik-Eye 3000 + Luxaflex remote-controlled drape.

Please let me know whether the above can work with Xantech or should I buy something else or wait for the release of RS232 interface from RTI.
