I just returned the Denon AKTIS remote w/ RF base station, and am considering getting the T2 instead. I bought the AKTIS for its RF capability (unlike the Pronto), however after spending over $600 for this, I found out that I'd still have to spend more for a Denon Re-transmitter. The re-transmitter unit connects to the RF base, and has 4 ports for IR emitters. This is important since I have at least eight equipment that need to have emitters attached to them. This will cost at least another $200. Besides, the AKTIS doesn't have software download capability yet. My question to you all with the T2 is, would I have the same issue with the Denon? Would I have to buy another equipment such as a Re-transtter with IR out ports or a Control Block to allow for emitters connection? I would appreciate any info on this to make a decision on the T2.
