I think I have found a small, annoying bug in the new software.
It has to do with the way PAGE FLIPS are done.
I have a HOME page with activity buttons. When an activity button is pushed, I trigger a System Macro on the RP6. The activity button is set to standalone mode, so I can do a PLEASE WAIT page....but I actually use a series of page flips to create an animated progress bar...
I've done that many many times on the T2+ and a few times on the T2C using the old software.... and it works fine on the new software as well.....EXCEPT:
In this case, my Please wait series of pages was at the bottom of my page list. Then I added some new source pages, and to keep these logical, I "inserted" them above the please wait series in the page list.
The problem is that by doing that I changed the Page numbers of the please wait pages... And, on SOME (but not all) of my activity macros, I found that the button macro wasn't going to the correct pages.
SO instead of this:
1. Flip to Please Wait Page 1 2. Send Macro Trigger (ie Watch TV) 3. Flip to Please Wait page 2 4. Flip to Please Wait page 3 5. Flip to Please Wait page 4 6. Flip to Cable Box source control page.
I got something like this:
1. Flip to DVD source page (wrong) 2. Send Macro Trigger (Watch TV) 3. Flip to Please Wait page 4 (wrong) 4. Flip to XM radio source page (wrong) 5. Flip to FM tuner source page (wrong) 6. Flip to CD player source page (wrong)
---
I think I've got them all fixed.... and I reorganized my page list like this:
I did this so that the page flips will ALWAYS be the same page NUMBERS.... and if I need to add sources, they are always at the END of the list... In fact, this is how I normally arrange them anyways...but I don't always do it this way from the start. I often rearrange the pages into an organized list once everything is working ....
Bit of a pain...but thought I'd mention it: If you are moving your page orders around, verify that your macros are sending you to the desired page(s)
...couple a thumb tacks and a stick of double sided tape should hold this baby up...
