I have fully controlled a multiple CAV6.6 system with RTI, I definately recommend using rs232, it is much easier and more reliable the the IR alternative. typing in the codes does take some time but at least russound spells the codes out for you, no calculating is necessary. I think it took a half a day to program in all the rs232 for every command for multiple units, I just used the macros in the rp6 to store all the commands then used system macros to tie to the codes from each panel, so as to only program all the commands once. Best part is you only need 1 cm232 and the RNET will transmit the rs232 to the whole russound syste.
