Why would you be using a flag or power sense if a device
has discrete codes?
How long do you want your macros to be? Mime are really fast when they execute. So when I go from one source to the other I only need to send the input command. Why; because I know that the TV is already on and I know that the receiver and the sources are already on. So I don't need to send the Power On command for every piece and wait x amount of time to send the input commands. That's why the two way communication is the ideal way to go, because you will know the exact status of every equipment and which command you need to send to execute a determined action. Of course this is assuming that all your gear has RS-232 two way protocol. But at this moment this is not possible with RTI yet.
