I double click slow and it works for me (I just checked it).
It's really more of two single-clicks; one to highlight the function, and a second one to edit it.
It is funky... it will only allow you to edit if
everything in the tree below it is closed.
This applies to device and manufacturer names, and it IS funky. You can click the name to close the tree, but then double-click it to open again, then click to edit without closing.
I know this is valuable, to someone, right?
