I am using a Lexicon RV-8. With the RP6 or XP8 with a .1 second delay, I am ramping volume and they seem about the same.
Can comment on number 2 yet.
On your final point, Yes, I have noticed using DTV HR21-700 that after you press button on remote that you do not get response on unit right away. Moving about in guide seems like forever where before it was instantaneous.
