I've got a couple systems running with FP1 docks and RK3 keypads. I don't think it's that slow... it's not lightning fast (It's not that fast using the video out to the TV), but it's more than usable.
Why are you setting the keypad to Static IP? I haven't done that, and I haven't had any issues here in teh store or with my customers setup.... now you've got me worried. ;-)
