No, but you must have the component set to RF to work with the blaster. Also, the front blaster is disabled if the MRF is on ID "0". Many DLP sets have the IR receiving eye inside the set as I mentioned above. Is there an actual IR receving eye on the front of the TV that you're using a wired emitter with?
