I tried emailing URC twice, never got a response. Decided to buy a One For All URC-8811 (less than $20, and I needed a remote in the guest room to control a TV and DVD player) and learned the Pioneer commands to it, then to the MX-500. Finally got all those commands (which according to CCF2MX were longer than the MX-500 can store) from the Pioneer 1014 to work, ALL of them, from the inputs to the surround modes, to the sleep, dialog enhancement, mute, etc. I don't know how the 8811 is truncating the codes from the Pioneer to make them work, but it does.
