No, not an isolated incident at all, whole batches of these have this issue (it's a combination software/hardware).
I am also surprised that there are not more people that report this issue. Maybe the problem units just haven't trickled down to the masses yet, or more likely most people just don't notice the problem. They may not notice it because of the way they press the screen (using fingernails, for example) or maybe the problem presents itself during use and the user just assumes he pressed a near bye button, etc.
Who knows? It would be great if Eric could chime in here and let us know when the real fix may be ready. I've been waiting almost 6 months for this. Until this is 100% reliable, I just can't fully enjoy using my MX-3000.
