MJE, I don't notice that about the volume keys. Did you learn the code or was it in the database? I also use a direct connect to my Onkyo receiver's IR jack - no problems.

Let us know how you both make out with your replacement units. If it's anything like my new one, it will be much better, but not perfect. Again, on mine, the upper left portion of the screen now has trouble, triggering buttons "below" the one pressed (see my video above). I still haven't heard back from URC since I sent them a copy of the video.
