Maybe the Universal Remote TX-1000 is what you need. See this link for a picture someone posted in another thread.



This is a touchscreen, unlike the hard buttons next to the LCD on the 850,900,950 etc. Not sure if the touchscreen would be helpful, but the light button is on the face of the remote, not the side. It is meant as a tabletop remote and handles button pushes well while sitting on a table (unlike 850s and similar remotes.)

The TX-1000 should be out shortly after the 900 I suppose. Not sure of the MSRP.
