That's a good point. I'd agree if I were programming the remote for a customer. Too many things that can go wrong. Since he's programming it for himself, it should be less of an issue. Looks like he can use the old standby Play-Stop and Play-Power instead though.

For myself, variables on a DVD player are 100% relaible since neither I nor the player do any of the things you mentioned. ;-)
