For the record... I also have intermittent button press failures on other buttons besides the LCD screen buttons. Volume UP/DOWN, etc. I just happen to notice it more on the LCD buttons because it's easy to look and actually see the results of a failed button press. When an LCD button fails you can see the failure on the screen because it doesn't highlight the text when it fails.

I have my backlight set to turn off after 20 seconds of inactivity.

It's looking more and more like the problem goes away when the backlight is turned on. I think that's three of us now that have done the test with the backlight on and not had a problem.
