This thread has become a tad confused. Seems that we have at least two issues intermixed, between he original topic of SD/HD workaround, and now discrete power on/off.

I'm patiently waiting for the 780 upgrade to see for myself, but in the meantime can anywone confirm whether or not the SD/HD switch workaround was successfully restored?

There was also a comment earlier in the thread that Dish may include discrete coding for the HD/SD switch that wouldn't require the workaround. Was that included, and if so, do you know the codes for HD and SD?
