MX-850 is much quicker to program, overall I like it better. The MX-350 is also very reliable though if you want to use it.
What RF base station are you using? If it has a 3.5 mm plug, you can use any IR flasher, if it's one of them with the 2.5 mm plug, you can still use any flasher but just stick a 3.5 mm female to 2.5 mm male mono or stereo adapter on the end.
