this is what i did after talking with universal tech support.
to reset the mx-350 to factory default :
hold main and stop.
--warning-- will start flashing at bottom of screen.
continue holding main and stop until --warning-- stops flashing and then you get :
--reset-- at top of screen and options are --sure?-- and --exit--.
press --sure?-- and remote starts initializing and then returns to factory default.
dont know how many other remotes this works for.
