I have a One4All 8811 remote which until recently has worked flawlessly. It's IR based and when I had an older Bell Expressvu 3100 receiver, it could learn individual button commands by pointing the expressvu remote at the universal remote and it would learn that button's function.

However, my new bell expressvu remote sends signals via UHF not IR. Although the receiver accepts both IR and RF commands, the remote control for the expressvu receiver itself does not send IR, at least Idon't think it does because when I try to teach my universal remote a specific button function, it won't learn it.

This is problematic because my new expressvu receiver is HDTV and I need to program the * button into my universal because that controls the various stretch modes while in HDTV mode.

Any helpers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated....
