My latest purchase of a Sony High-Definition Digital Video Recorder the DHG-HDD500 does a FANTASTIC job of recording HDTV and playing it back to my 65" Mitsubishi HDTV. It has both antenna and CATV inputs. That works great at my location where the cable company does not have all the networks on their system yet. It allows me to get one channel OTA and another from the cable company. It may be some time before NBC shows up, but someday. . . The spec sheet states: NTSC American TV Standard (480i) ATSC (8VSB terrestrial), ATSC Compliant 8VSB (1080i, 720p, 480p, 480i) I added this unit to three Panasonic DVD-ram hard drive recorders. (yes, I know, I watch far too much TV) If you want a great HDTV recorder, this is a very nice(expensive)one. KKM
