It depends what you are comparing it to. If you are comparing to a non-DVR receiver or to OTA, it is ridiculously slow. If you are comparing to an SD DVR, it is kinda slow.
Teach the customer to not watch live TV on a DVR, then the slowness will be less of a factor. That's not what this box is intended to do.
