These had a HIGH failure rate- I have to have exchange about every third one I see, but I eventually get one that works. Sometimes it is the HDMI output, sometimes it is a REALLY slow processor, etc. If you have a really slow one, send it in and get a new one. Directv will not be surprised when they get your call.
