I'm not a Dish Network guy, but if the Dish Pro Plus Separator will work as your diagram shows it, the only thing that could get in the way of the whole thing working would be signals from the dish that are in the frequency range of the TV channels. And you have already said that you know you can backfeed the channel 3/4 output as shown.
This should work fine.
It also is a pretty clever idea because it runs signals both ways on a wire, which is totally possible but not at all intuitive. We tend to think of all signals going from A to B, not one from A to B and one from B to A. The different frequency ranges of the signals makes this possible.
