In MakeHex you:
1. Edit Sony12.irp change device=1 and Function=0..127 and save,

2. Drag and drop Sony12.irp onto MakeHex.exe,

3. Open Sony12.hex in notepad, make sure word
wrap is off and copy the text,

4. Open IRPanels paste the text, hit Generate
CCF File, and
Clunk!
5. Retrieve your ccf file from C:\Program Files\IRPanels
Fine in principal, but it presupposes I had a copy of IRPanels to hand. Alas, I didn't.
