Actually, IRClone turns a PC into a teaching "remote" so there is a way to get the CCF codes into it.

But, the MX-500 would need an IR2RF converter for your fans and you would need a way to transport IR to another room.

The MX-800 & RF2RF converters would probably work but I know the Pronto method works.
