Don't buy BOSE. There is no highs and lows. If you wish to hear the bass (low frequescy) or the tweeters (high frequency) from the music, you have to turn it up. Meaning that you have to raise the volume. I do not recommend BOSE for home theater because of the range that the Dolbys and DTSs requirements. They both recommend full range speakers. There a lot great sounding speakers out there. I would recommend the following speakers if you are interested.
1. NHT 2. B&W 3. Vandersteen 4. Mirage 5. Paradigm 6. Legacy Audio 7. Totem Acoustics 8. Snell
This is just to name a few but go ahead and audition them. You will not be disappointed. Give us holler and let us know.
