So here you go flamers, warm up your keyboards
to get ready to slap me down for my blatant ignorance
of audiophile-level quality...my opinion is:
I still think they are OK. I think the sound
they put out is fine. I very much like the fact
that they are physically very, very small yet
still fill the room with (in my opinion) enjoyable
sound. [For the record, the room is NOT a dedicated
home theater, just an open living room.]

Hey, no worries mate. Some people are fine with a velvet painting of some rats playing pool on their wall, others like a Picasso. Everything is subjective. If you think that crap sounds good, then that's all that matters isn't it. I have witnessed the Bose stuff working fine is some background music situations. The size is definitley it's biggest virtue, but it's limitations are very significant. Personally, I wouldn't want to use a Bose system in my home for any program. Life is short, don't waste the small amount of time that you get to actually enjoy music and movies with a compromised set of speakers. Cheap out on the lawn mower or something,, not the sound.
