It is easy to program the codes and get the remote working. However, much of the appeal of these things is the graphical layout. It can take tons of time to create/organize the graphics and navigation setup between devices and pages. I have well over 100 hours into my setup, and that doesn't include learning how to use the computer software.

So the answer is "it depends".
