Not really, the use of graphics, and the computer interface is what makes touchscreens "personallized". That means learning how to use the software, becoming something of a programmer, and maybe a bit of a graphics artist as well. This doesn't mean that you can't get the remote up and running reasonably quickly, just that it takes alot of time and programming experience to perfect the graphics and navigation (device switching) to your tastes.

For a more standard type remote, very powerful, but not able to be personalized, I'd recommend an MX-500 from universal remote control. No computer interface and doesn't do RF. It's my wife's "upstairs" remote and is very capable, in fact she resists all my attempts to upgrade it. It can be had at places like bluedo.com for around $80 to $90.

The Harmony remotes are also interesting and well rated, but I have no experience with them.
