Somewhere in this thread there was a posting explaining that the code to erase a device key was 992. And, clearing a button was 994. I comes from an explanation from One For All, and it was also posted by [Link: mandala.com].
Anyway, the sequence seems to be:

Clearing A Device Key
1. Press the key you want to clear.
2. Press the P key until the LED blinks twice.
3. Press 9 9 2.
4. Press the device key twice.

Clearing a Button
1. Press the device key the button is assigned to.
2. Press the P key until the LED blinks twice.
3. Press 9 9 4.
4. Press the button you want to clear twice.

Re: erasing a macro.
Press "P" and hold down until it flashes twice. Type in the macro learning code (995). Punch the button where the macro to be erased is stored (or if a stacked macro, press P, then the macro button). Then press and hold down "P" until remote double flashes. This comes from the Radio Shack online manual mentioned in the first post above.

USING TWO OR MORE SIMILAR DEVICES

Here's the Gist of it:
1. Press SET UP until the red indicator light blinks twice.

2. Press 9 - 9 - 2. The red indicator light blinks twice. Press the key for the type of device you have two of, then the unused device key you want to convert. The red indicator light blinks twice again.

For example, to convert an unused CBL key into a second VCR key:
SET UP - 9 - 9 - 2 - VCR - CBL

To change the CBL key back to its original function, use the following sequence of keystrokes.
SET UP - 9 - 9 - 2 - CBL – CBL

Punch Thru
The first way is to "remap" the volume and mute buttons in the DVD mode to actually send the Receiver volume commands when they are pressed. Here are the key presses to accomplish this:
DVD(Aux2)* Setup*--** 9* 9* 4** Rcvr(Aux1)* Vol Up* Vol Up--**
then do:
DVD(Aux2)* Setup*--** 9* 9* 4** Rcvr(Aux1)* Vol Down* Vol Down--**
then do:
DVD(Aux2)* Setup*--** 9* 9* 4** Rcvr(Aux1)* Mute* Mute--**

So if you want to program your pwr button to (discretly) turn on the TV and AMP -Discretely so that it doesn't toggle the power button- do this.
I have a Sony TV and AMP
P** 9*9*5** PWR*
TV* P* 3*6*9*
AUX* 1*
TV* TV* / this is just a delay for sony tv's
TV* P* 2*4*3*
AUX*
