For those of you looking to program in a Sony DVD player (I know at least rich on 1/9 had a problem), I found a way around the limitation. You can program the VCR button to operate the Sony DVD using the 0533 code, but not the Aux1 or Aux2 buttons. Therefore, using the remap suggestions provided by others here, I remapped the VCR key to the AUX2 key (essentially telling the remote I had two VCR's) and then entered the 0533 code to the new AUX2. Worked like a charm, and it now controls my Sony 7700 DVD player great! This remote rocks, and for $30, I can't believe I was ever looking elsewhere. I still have yet to program the advanced functions, but all in all, it's wonderful.
