Rick (with the VR309) I figured out how to switch between DSS - VCR - DVD. You'll need three separate Remote buttons though. I had the same problem you did, so I figured maybe it's putting out a different IR for each, which the Kenwood remote is. So, in learn mode on the 15-1994, when you get to the point where you press the appropriate key on the kenwood remote (the video button) pushing it the first time gives you VCR, the second push gives you DVD, the third push DSS or whatever (I only use two video inputs). You'll have to program three separate 15-1994 keys, the first is simple, just push the kenwood's video button, for the second key aim the remote AWAY from the 15-1994 for the first push and aim at the 1994 for the second push, for the third button aim the Kenwood away for the first two pushes and aim at the 1994 for the third push. I'm sure this is the same for the audio switching, which isn't as big a deal to me. Good luck, email me if you have questions.
