A number of folks have asked about laser disk and dvd. I just bought an IQ 8800 yesterday, and discovered this site and thread today. I haven't tried to hack the 8800 to learn and macro random keys yet, but I can tell you that the 8800 has different codes for LD and DVD. If it didn't, you probably couldn't run an LD and a DVD of the same brand. Has anyone checked this out?

It's more than just academic to me, as I have a good Pioneer LD and will be buying a DVD soon, and the Pioneer 525 DVD is on my short list...
