Hi Folks.
I have had a refurbished Marantz 5200 for almost four years now. And just in the last two weeks the touch screen has started freezing up. When it "freezes", sometimes nothing works when you touch it; sometimes you can push real hard and finally get a response; sometimes you push real hard and get MULTIPLE responses [more than you ever wanted! :) ].

The first time this happened, I placed it on the docking station overnight (thinking the battery might be low-but it was not) and it worked fine in the morning. This most recent time, it also worked in the morning, but the battery level was fine all along. I did notice this time that the touchscreen backlight came on by itself at one time during this "episode" (no touching needed). I also noticed that when I placed it on the charger, that the backlight STAYED on four many minutes (even though it is set for only 18 seconds).

Is my touchscreen/remote dying? Is there any hope of saving this beloved family member? Any thought? Hopes? Salvation?

Thank you so much for your time.

Dale
