OK, now we are getting somewhere. Actually, I think the one you have actually has a red Select/OK button, not grey, right? As you discovered, that one does have a setup code for DVD3.
Using setup code 21070, try these advanced codes for recording functions:
Record = 01692
Rec stop = 59292
Rec pause = 58780
Rec mode = 02460
Yours takes 5-digit advanced codes that include more information, not the older 3-digit codes.
