I assume you have learned all the necessary commands to operate the 9000 from the 501 to the 2100, but what you are saying is that pressing any of the function commands you learned will not turn the amp on from standby mode. Is this correct? I am just asking this to see what you have done so far.

I may not be able to help, depending on your answer, and I have read the manuals for the amp and the remote and cannot find anything to help answer your question, so I have to refer you to the experts.
