Is it possible to get the IR543 from somewhere other than RS or x1-.com? If not, i'll just place my order. Do I need to have it plugged in all the time or is it something I use to program the unit and then keep in a closet afterwards?

Do you know how I would do this? I think it is the universal remote that most people use. It is the 6-way x-10 universal.
