I am still looking at purchasing a learning remote, so I do not know about the problems you mentioned. Do you have the X-10 Command Console that takes X-10 IR commands and then transfers them onto the powerline? I believe you need this if you are to control your X-10 devices with your AV2000 remote using IR?

I am not familar with the X-10 commander IR to RF transmitter. Does this just attach to your AV2000 remote and covert all IR signals to RF? How much is this attachment and does it only convert X-10 IR signals to RF? If this was working correctly, I would think you would not need the X-10 Command Console that converts IR to the powerline that I mentioned above.
