I have an Xfinity xr15 remote. I have programmed it such that the IR codes control my Denon receiver for volume in my 5.1 setup, which is working fine. However when I use the channel change or DVR functions of the Xfinity XR15 remote, they are RF and if I get too far away they stop working. So I'm wondering if your recommendation to have the Xfinity remote be infrared only would allow the xr15 to put out infrared codes for channel change and all the other Xfinity box commands? I have an infrared to RF transmitter/receiver repair to control the Denon volume, which is in another room in a rack and that's working great. I just want all the commands coming out of the Xfinity remote to be infrared and I'll be good to go.
