I know that was sarcasm, so this question is really for Samsung, who we all know doesn't really GAF about the CI channel (the reps do, but Samsung as a whole doesn't).
Anyway, if the One Connect cable is so great, how come you took it off of everything except the Frame and 8K TV's. I still don't know why it would be necessary for any of their TV's as no other manufacturer uses anything like the One Connect.
I do, however, like selling the accessories and extra labor that the One Connect makes necessary for a nice installation.
The extra labor is nice, although it presents challenges at times when replacing an existing display. Most clients who want them ask for them specifically but then are flabbergasted when you explain they are not a simple "take old tv down, put new tv up" replacement.
They would be an easy sell, even at premium prices if Samsung would make a few simple changes.
1. Ditch the media box
2. Go back to the single plate mount
3. Proper discretes for on/off/art
4. Get the motion sensor to work properly and consistently
5. A "dumb" mode that stops trying to help with control and input selection. Yes, I know you can kinda/sorta turn off most of the features but...
