I have read about quite a few Samsung/Sonos Arc dropout issues in the past, but have had no problems with a Samsung QN85QN900a and Sonos Arc, using the Sonos-supplied cable to eARC. (btw it was rather uninspired and unhelpful of Sonos to name their product after an HMDI function.)
