One of the things that Snap did (like them or hate them) is they bettered processes and policies industry-wide.
Ex: If you tried buying HDMI extenders pre-Snap from your local distributor (at least every distributor around me) and they didn't work, you then owned an HDMI extender! Congratulations! There was no return policy anywhere and Snap made this process existent and easy.
Ex: Snap made everyone step up their website game. They made it easy to buy with accurate information and Amazonish procedures.
When a business disrupter rolls in, you need to adapt or die. In my area, it was very obvious that certain distributors were on their way out, years before it happened.
Bad min/max levels, horrible inventory management and unfriendly policies (distributors need to negotiate these policies with the vendors before you bring them on like CostCo) were some of the telling elements to me.
