Deleting the "url.ini" or replacing it with a blank text file ONLY disables the "Call Home" and check for update feature, NOT the login requirement. You need to replace the URCFrame with a pre-July 13th. version to fix that.
That is 100% correct. URC was hoping to have everyone run the update so they could wipe out everyone's access. I had it installed on my desktop an had the pre 07/13 URCFrame file. I had an MRX-2 box that was yet to be activated so I did that this morning with the OLD version on my desktop. I was having issues with getting the MS XML parser to work on my PC with the new hacked up version of CCP on my laptop.
