Thanks for sharing this information. I ran the update today got the nasty surprise. I bought from Mike at Surf Remote and he's since retired. I wouldn't spend another penny on URC. They are not a nice company. I got my first remote with a B&K preamp with the old software editor and they pulled the same thing where they locked it out from doing any updates.

I installed the update on my PC. I ended up uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I also deleted the entry from the registry as was suggested in this thread. Fortunately, I also had the software on my desktop with the old framework file application.

I installed the initial app again, ran all the updates, deleted the URL.ini file and copied the old URCFramework.exe file from my other computer. It seems to be working now.
