GC's know everything about everything.
I've done some personal work for a GC who now knows all about A/V wiring -- no need to call me for any of his projects (he is cheap). I got a call from him asking if I could exchange ends on an HDMI cable that was installed backwards.
I installed some TVs at a local country club which just happens to be Milwaukee's version of Bushwood CC, from Caddy Shack. They decided to save some money by having the maintenance guy install the HDMI cables, so the satellite boxes could be behind the bar where people wouldn't screw with them. Looked good on paper, but I'm not sure the guy read the tags because even the TV icons didn't help. Munster Cable, too- these were in the 75 foot range, so that probably cost a couple of hundred bucks. I told them it's not a big deal since DTV has/had the RF remote controls and a kit for mounting the boxes on the back of the TVs, which works fine.
