I'm guessing you didn't keep your options open by running an RG-6 to your TV. I'm also guessing, of course, that you're watching a TV and not a monitor, so you could get your OTA directly.
It makes perfect sense that if DTV won't let you see CBS via the DirecTV satellite receiver, they'd also block the OTA tuner they made.
