It's not CBS, it's the owner of that CBS affiliate. There was an article about it somewhere, I forget the company. ABC affiliate in Dallas is affected, as well as about 48 other different stations around the country.
Basically, greedy company tells DTV they want more money to rebroadcast our channels. AT&T tells them to take a hike, your viewership is down, our subscribers are down, we aren't paying you more than we already are.
Let's not forget that AT&T is trying to sell DTV, they've even upped their offer with a stake in both U-Verse and AT&T Now.
BTW, this outage is also affecting UVerse customers, the couple hundred that are still left.
