A few years ago we did a couple of huge systems, using the Florida lighting guy that our architect suggested. He also bought everything from China, and said that he'd placed maybe fifty orders for lights and had only gotten boned (happy acceptance of money, no shipment of goods) once. If Ali Express is that good or better, then GREAT!
It was a difficult thing to ensure that he was always going to get the same level of product, though.
Haven’t been boned yet either. When piece mealing a system, it is very wise to order what you need with about a 5-10% overhead.
QC seems to be much better with the larger orders. One offs can slightly differ if they pick between different lots.
