I know it's one of those holy grail things, but here goes :-)

I have a quiet office environment with a wall mount cabinet. This morning I took out the fanless 16 port gigabit switch and popped in a Dell PowerConnect 2748.

It seems the price of a few more ports is having a JetRanger hovering in the office!

I know the natural retreat is to go and get another fanless 16 port switch and see if I can find space in the box, but 1U was all I really wanted to fill without things getting messy.

I've looked into fan replacement, but there aren't any that can shift 10.1cfm and be lower revving.

Does anyone have any recommendations for quieter 48 port switches?
