That's nice. But whether they give a damn or not is irrelevant. The world sometimes makes these decisions for you. Those remotes are so old, it will be difficult to find working units that are in any sort of good shape. And if you do, I would argue the gambling taking on such old devices is not worth it.

They need to be sold new devices. Ones that can be programmed to be easy to use and last for them.
